Maggie's Magical Cat & Other Catastrophes

Kitties for the Cat

A talented cast, solid script, and lively staging make Maggie's Magical Cat one of the best shows I've seen so far this Fringe. The performance starts out strong with great energy from the whole ensemble and flows nicely from one scene to the next as we follow Maggie (and her cat) through the trials and tribulations of elementary school.

The show will probably bring back some painful childhood memories (it did for me), but the brutal honesty of the piece is offset nicely with sharp humor and genuine play. My only criticism is that the audience interaction seemed a little light, but the crowd was quiet that day, so that might have played into things.

Overall, Maggie's Magical Cat is a great show. The entire cast and company should be very proud.

A quirky little show that absolutely glows. It felt like I was being dipped in happy.
